Jay Urich, M.Ed.
Founder · Former South Carolina QB/WR
Jay is a former football student-athlete at the University of South Carolina. He lived the challenge of balancing athletics, academics, and life, and saw how much it matters to be prepared for more than competition.
He built Banner to give high school athletes the tools to build character, develop core competencies, and discover their purpose outside the game. His mission is to inspire the next generation to live with confidence, integrity, and discipline on and off the field.

The ‘why’ behind Banner
Player development used to be just for college athletes.
Full staffs. Proven programs.
Big-time SEC, ACC, and Big Ten athletic departments have multiple full-time staff members and strong programming to help athletes excel in their sport and beyond.
Same pressures. Now the same support.
High-performing high school athletes manage many of the same stresses and challenges. Banner brings those college-level lessons to them, years earlier.
I benefited from that expertise firsthand while playing football at the University of South Carolina.
After graduation, I kept thinking about how those same lessons aren’t only needed by college athletes. High school athletes are carrying a lot of the same weight, and they deserve the same preparation.
These skills changed my life and launched me into life after sport with confidence and hope.
